Certified Veterinary Technician
A true local, Alysha was born and raised in the Prior Lake / Savage area graduating from Prior Lake High School in 2003. Growing up Alysha always wanted to work with animals one day. At the age of 7, her family adopted a special little Lhasa Apso named Mags. Although she had many other wonderful pets throughout the years, it was Alysha's special inseparable bond with Mags that lead to her decision to pursue a degree in Veterinary Technology. Mags continued guiding Alysha's journey until 2011 when she peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge.
After graduating with her Veterinary Technology degree in 2008 from Argosy University, she then spent some time volunteering with animal shelters and working with local veterinarians. Since 2012, she has used her veterinary training to assist international spay and neuter efforts in the Caribbean to locals in need.
Alysha is currently a member and volunteer Puppy Instructor at the Bloomington Obedience Training Club, a Barn Hunt dog sport training instructor at For The Love of Dogs & The Dog Tank and also is an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Evaluator as well as an AKC Temperament Test Evaluator. She is a member of the Minnesota Association of Veterinary Technicians, the MN Professional Pet Sitters Network, and currently serves as a member on the board of the Savage Chamber of Commerce.
Alysha lives with her husband Scott in Savage with Echo the sassy kitty, Olive (pictured on right) and Rocky Horror (pictured left) their French Bulldogs and an American Staffordshire Terrier named Zero, pet rats and a backyard chicken coop. Alysha enjoys competing with her dogs in the sports Agility, Barn Hunting, Dock Diving, Obedience, Lure Coursing, Trick Dog and Flyball. She and her dogs compete in the organizations NAFA (North American Flyball Association), AKC (American Kennel Club), NADAC (North American Dog Agility Council), BHA (Barn Hunt Association) and NADD (North American Diving Dogs) dog sports. All three of their dogs are Canine Good Citizens as well. When not operating the business, Alysha and Scott enjoy traveling, backpacking, skiing, and camping... and most activities you can bring your dogs too!
Fun Fact: Alysha's dog Olive recently made National Champion at the 2018 AKC National Dock Diving Championships in Orlando. Cheer them on as they're returning to compete again this December!
