ABOUT US

Alysha Riel CVT, CCMT, CARM, CCKTP
Owner

A true local, Alysha was born and raised in the Prior Lake / Savage area graduating from Prior Lake High School in 2003. Growing up Alysha always wanted to work with animals one day. At the age of 7, her family adopted a special little Lhasa Apso named Mags. Although she had many other wonderful pets throughout the years, it was Alysha's special inseparable bond with Mags that lead to her decision to pursue a degree in Veterinary Technology.

After graduating with her Veterinary Technology degree in 2008 , she then spent some time volunteering with animal shelters and working with local veterinarians in Prior Lake and through the Animal Humane Society. She has also used her veterinary training to assist international spay and neuter efforts in the Caribbean to locals in need and assisted elephants at a sanctuary in Thailand. In 2022, she went for training in canine massage, kinesiology taping and reiki healing. She currently owns Kinetic K9, assisting dogs wherever she gets the opportunity!

Alysha is currently a member and volunteer Instructor at the Bloomington Obedience Training Club (BOTC) and For The Love of Dogs & The Dog Tank. Alysha is also an American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, an AKC Temperament Test Evaluator, AKC Fit Dog Instructor and a Rat Games Apprentice Judge.

A proud member of the MN Professional Pet Sitters Network and the Savage Chamber of Commerce. Alysha currently serves as Board Chair on the board of directors for the Savage Chamber of Commerce. In 2023 she was awarded the 'Community Builder of the Year' Award for the Savage Chamber. She is also the administrator for the popular Pets of Prior Lake & Savage Facebook group.

Alysha lives with her husband Scott in Savage with Olive (pictured on right) and Rocky Horror (pictured left) their French Bulldogs, an American Staffordshire Terrier named Zero, a Boston Terrier named Ouija and a chicken coop. Alysha enjoys competition with her dogs in the sports Agility, Barn Hunting, Dock Diving, Obedience, Rally, Lure Coursing, Trick Dog and Flyball. She and her dogs compete in the organizations NAFA (North American Flyball Association), AKC (American Kennel Club), NADAC (North American Dog Agility Council), BHA (Barn Hunt Association) and NADD (North American Diving Dogs) dog sports. Their dogs are Canine Good Citizens as well. When not operating the business, Alysha and Scott enjoy traveling, backpacking, skiing, and camping... and most activities you can bring your dogs too!

Fun Fact: Alysha's dogs Olive and Zero are both National Champions in Dock Diving! Olive has won that honor TWICE in her career even. Although Olive is now retired, Zero and Alysha will be returning to NADD Nationals in fall of 2023 to compete again!

Hi I'm LeeAnna. I love animals and music. I’m saving up money for vet tech school right now. I wish to one day be like my role model Steve Irwin and travel the world teaching people about animals.  I’ve owned many cats and dogs in my life. I’ve also owned hamsters, guinea pigs , rabbits, reptiles, birds and fish. Right now I’m loving life with my cat, leopard gecko and my fish.
